Run With Drew: 1:18:02 at the Great North Run
At the 2025 Great North Run, six friends took turns pushing Gym Possible founder Drew Graham in his racing wheelchair the full half marathon distance, crossing the line in 1:18:02 and setting the Guinness World Record for the fastest half marathon pushing a wheelchair by a team (male).
It was the culmination of three years of Great North Runs together, each one faster than the last, and every mile was run in aid of Gym Possible and the Matt Hampson Foundation. The record is a story about sport, friendship and what accessible exercise makes possible.
