How do I book a consultation?

What are your prices?

Our membership fees start at under 17 pounds per month (when purchased as a one-year package). We also have a pay as you go option available for 20 pounds per month. Please visit the shop for more information.

What types of disability do you cater for?

Primarily our gym is designed for people with spinal cord injuries. The gym may not be a suitable environment for people with more complex disabilities. We consider all applicants on a case-by-case basis. If you have any queries, please contact us via our website form on our contact page.

Will I need to transfer from my wheelchair to use the exercise equipment?

There are a couple of pieces of kit that would require you to transfer but we have a wide range of wheelchair accessible equipment where no transfer is necessary. They can be used straight from your wheelchair. A comprehensive workout is absolutely possible without having to tranfer.

Will there be anybody to help me?

There will always be a member of staff at our Gateshead hub, however the Longbenton gym is not always staffed, if you need help accessing the equipment, you will be required to bring somebody with you or book a one-on-one personal training session. If you intend to bring a family or friend who would also like to exercise, the gym is equipped with treadmills, crosstrainers, bikes and other equipment that is suitable for able-bodied individuals. Anybody training in the gym is required to be a member who has participated in a consultation. Family memberships are offered which can be used by carers, friends or family members (One additional person to Gym Possible member per family membership)

Is there a disabled toilet?

Yes. At Longbenton there are two disabled toilets on-site. One is on the left when you first enter the premises and the other one is in the cafe near the drinks fridge.

At Gateshead there is are disabled toilets and changing areas right next to the gym in our own private space. These are directly to the right of when you exit the main gym.

Is there an age limit?

We offer our service to members aged 16yrs+.

Can I bring my carer(s)?

Absolutely. We encourage our members to bring support workers / carers / Personal Assistants to help them with any needs whilst at the gym.

Are you dog friendly?

Service dogs are very welcome at the gym. Unfortunately, at our new site, we cannot allow members to bring pets with them.

Can I bring food and drink?

While we don’t allow food to be consumed in the gym area, there is a cafe on site. Cold drinks are allowed in the gym area as long as they are in closed containers.

Is parking available?

Yes. A limited number of designated disabled spaces are available in front of the gym. Further parking is also available to the side of the building.

Is there a first aider on site?

Yes. There will always be one first aider on the Tumble premises. We have a comprehensive first aid kit including a defibrillator.

Will I be tied to a monthly contract?

No. Our membership fees are pay as you go, although a 6 month package is available.

What is your cancellation policy?

We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. All of our sessions have to be paid for in advance. If you need to cancel for any reason as long as you do it 24 hours in advance you will not be charged.

Can I bring my own physio?

Yes, you are permitted to bring your own Physiotherapist or Personal Trainer but they are required to purchase a commercial pass. These can be found on our shop.

Are you open weekends?

Yes, our current weekend opening hours are 11:00am till 4:30pm at Longbenton.

We are not open weekends at our Gateshead hub.

Do you have any jobs available?

Currently we are not looking for any new staff but if a candidate comes along, we would be happy to inform them of future openings.

Do you have changing facilities?

Yes, there is a large disabled toilet/shower and changing room on the left when you enter the main premises in Longbenton.

Yes there is changing facilities and toilets adjacent to the Gateshead gym on the 1st floor. This used by Gym Possible only.

What clothing should I wear?

We currently don’t have a dress code. Please wear any kind of comfortable clothing you can safely exercise in.

What are your busiest times?

Generally, it is busiest in the morning / early afternoon between 10am & 1pm.
